Scarborough Wild Bird Rescue was set up in 2007 to provide a front line rescue and treatment service for injured & orphaned wild birds in North Yorkshire.
As one of North Yorkshire's dedicated wild bird rescue services, we currently operate a care unit in Scarborough. Our aim is to heal every wild bird capable of surviving its injuries and where possible, return it back to its natural environment in the wild.
S.W.B.R is operated by volunteers who do not receive payment for their services, our common commitment is for the welfare of wildlife and the environments in which they live.
If you live in Scarborough or the surrounding areas and wish to report a sick, injured or orphaned wild bird, please call our Emergency Helpline: 01723 351773 These phone lines are open for rescue 24 hours a day.
If you live outside these geographical areas, then please click onto our RESCUERS DIRECTORY page, where you will find a wildlife Rehabilitator in your area. Also Vets that specialise in bird injuries.
WILDLIFE CARE HOMES
At our wildlife rehabilitation care homes, we provide immediate care and short term hospitalisation for all types of birds including sea birds, birds of prey and all other wild birds.
