Each year in the U.K. an estimated five million wild birds and animals are injured or disabled in some way. Many of these injuries happen when animals come into contact with people. Some are accidents, some not!

The organisations listed in the link below are run by dedicated people, often voluntarily, who offer help to these casualties by treating them, and where possible, releasing them back to the wild.
