Volunteering

Scarborough Wild Bird Rescue - is now recruiting volunteers to help with its work.

We need volunteers to help feed and care for sick, injured and orphaned wild birds. Volunteers feed birds, clean cages, transport birds to and from care homes and release birds back into the wild. It is hard work but very rewarding for kind and nurturing people who love birds and who want to make a difference in their lives. Training is provided.

In addition, we need individuals who can assist with fundraising, public outreach, newsletters, building and maintenance of the wild bird facilitys.

Home Care Volunteers - needed to care for birds in there own homes, work involves: Home care: feeding, medical care if needed. Training provided.

Transport Volunteers - to collect and move the birds to a care home or wildlife units.

Fund Raisers - to organise and help with fundraising events.
